GameChanger Sports Nationals Impact Players

My last tournament of the summer season took place at the GameChanger Sports National Tournament. For this particular tournament I covered the 8th/9th grade division. Della Lamb 2027 (MO) and the Arkansas Sting had dominating performances over the weekend. This article will discuss 5 players that were difference makers and had an impact on their team.

Addi Moylan | Guard | Della Lamb | 2027

Addi quickly caught my eye with her well-rounded skill level. Her three-point shooting ability and good defensive pressure make her a threat on both ends of the court. Her ball-handling skills and playmaking abilities in transition showcase her effectiveness in fast-paced situations. Addi was skilled at creating scoring opportunities with her footwork off the dribble. Her anticipation and ability to get steals in a press demonstrate her defensive awareness and lead to easy finishes for her team. She sounds was a dynamic player with the skills to impact the game on multiple fronts!

Jaelynn Carter | Wing | Della Lamb | 2027

Jaelynn was one of the most versatile players at the tournament. She possessed an impressive skill set that made her a valuable asset on the basketball court. Her three-point shooting ability, coupled with her effectiveness in the high post for mid-range catch-and-shoot opportunities, adds versatility to her scoring game. Her ability to finish around the basket and play multiple positions makes her a versatile offensive threat. Jaelynn displayed a good basketball IQ, she understood pace and tempo, and was a disruptive defender.

Bailey Barton | Guard | AR Sting | 2027

Bailey is a dynamic and impactful player who plays a crucial role in her team's success. Her ability to attack off the dribble and make plays for her teammates showcases her playmaking skills and court vision. Her ability to finish in a variety of ways around the rim adds another dimension to her scoring game. Her three-point shooting threat and mid-range pull-up jumper make her a scoring threat from various distances on the court. Bailey's skills and contributions make her an integral part of her team's success and is a valuable asset on the court!

Rylee Wilburn | Wing | AR Sting | 2027

Rylee's catch-and-shoot three-point abilities make her a valuable scoring threat from beyond the arc. Her capability to attack off the catch and finish in traffic showcases her versatility as a scorer. Her skill in spacing the floor well during transition indicates her ability to create fast-break opportunities for her team. She sounds like a skilled and dynamic offensive player with the potential to impact the game on multiple levels!

Elicia Shepherd | Wing | HWD | 2026

It's impressive to see the range of skills Elicia possesses as a basketball player. Her length, ball-handling, passing, and defensive abilities make her a versatile player who can excel in various positions. Her agility and finishing skills around the rim, coupled with her ability to defend against both small, quick point guards and wings, make her a valuable asset on the court. She’s a well-rounded and impactful player!
